Which Test Do I Need?

Class IV & Class VII Testing

Most cars need a Class IV test. If you're unsure which class applies to your vehicle, just give us a call and we'll check for you.

Class IV

FROM £50

Covers the vast majority of vehicles on the road, including:

  • Cars (up to 8 passenger seats)
  • Motor caravans & dual-purpose vehicles
  • Private hire vehicles, taxis & ambulances
  • Goods vehicles up to 3,000kg design gross weight
  • 3-wheeled vehicles over 450kg unladen

Class VII

FROM £50

For light commercial vehicles between 3 and 3.5 tonnes:

  • Panel vans & light commercials
  • Mini vans through to larger Class VII models
  • Same-day rectifications wherever possible
  • Full diagnostic equipment for commercial vehicles

The maximum fee a garage can legally charge for a Class IV MOT is set by the DVSA - our prices are comfortably within that cap.

Good To Know

Book Up To a Month Early Without Losing Any Cover

You can have your MOT done up to one calendar month (minus a day) before your current certificate expires, and your new certificate will still run a full year from the original expiry date - not from the day you're tested.

Test any earlier than that and the new certificate runs from the test date instead, so you lose whatever time was left on the old one. Leave it too late, and you risk driving without a valid MOT altogether, which can mean a fine of up to £1,000 and may invalidate your insurance.

Certificate issued Expiry date
11 months Book here → keeps your date
Example: if your MOT expires on 15th September, you can test any time from 15th August onwards and keep the 15th September renewal date next year.
What's Checked

Warranty

All parts and labour we fit are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against defects. Cover length and terms vary depending on the part and how the vehicle's used - for example, some components carry different terms for towing or commercial use - so we'll always confirm exactly what applies to your job. Warranty doesn't cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or routine service items.

DVSA Approved Test Station

We're officially certified to carry out MOT testing to DVSA standards - so your certificate is fully valid and recognised the moment it's issued.
